The minutes for the Nov. 19, 2008 council meeting are very telling as to how easily our city council spends money.

Please note that $500,000 (half a million) is going to be spent for the proposed creation of what is being called ‘Armstrong Road Agricultural/Cluster Zoning Classification’ in unincorporated Lodi. This area will include a swath of land a half-mile wide on both the north and south sides of Armstrong Road from I-5 to Highway 99 and only include said area.

In these trying economic times, is it really in Lodi’s best interest to allocate this amount of money for a zoning project when we have issues in Lodi that need monetary attention: Crime, gangs, infrastructure needs and street repairs on the Eastside.

Please click on the below PDF file and scroll to K-01 to read the minutes regarding the Armstrong Road Cluster Zoning proposal.
