WHO IS AWOBS?
Note: Thank you all, we now think we know ...
We are looking for the identity of the person who blogs under the name "awobs" in the Lodi News-Sentinel. We are offering a $500.00 bounty for a verified indentification.
Having suggested that African-Americans and Hispanics are genetically inferior, "awobs" has turned to slandering minor children who attend a school located within the Lodi Unified School District. By what "awobs" has stated in recent blogs, we believe he or she is a public school teacher or administrator who lives in Lodi.
Slandering a minor child is against the law. Public school teachers and administrators that make slanderous declarations or innuendos concerning minor children should lose their credentials to teach and be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Please help us find "awobs".
CLUES TO THE IDENITY OF AWOBS
On Saturday, January 12, 2008, the Lodi News-Sentinel ran a story entitled: "Lodi Unified tackles racism issue with training program for its staff"
Pursuant to this article "awobs" wrote on January 13, 2008, 12:11pm:
"Don't be fooled…there are A LOT of white kids being left behind! Unfortunately for them, there is no extra support because they are not English language learners. By the way, if a student moves here in let's say March from Mexico never having been in an American school, they are REQUIRED to take the state tests in April. This happens all the time! Think that might have something to do with the test scores?? Here's another thought…part of diversity is accepting all of our differences, right? So, maybe this is just a genetic difference and not the fault of racist teachers. Are P.E. teachers not racist because a lot of non-whites are successful in athletics?? Maybe the NBA should start having "courageous conversations" because they surely are racists as they don't have an equal number of whites on their teams!"
In direct response to awobs, another blogger wrote 49 minutes later:
"awobs, I hope I misunderstood you. It sounds like you are claiming that Hispanics and African-Americans are intellectually inferior due to genetics. Wow. Possibly you are trolling? Scary either way. Possibly you are the one person in town who could benefit from this training. The rest of us have evolved."
Unfortuntely, the clues could not be more clear: awobs appears to be a teacher; s/he appears to be a teacher who works for the Lodi Unified School District (L.U.S.D.). The words "courageous conversations" were used in training sessions with various groups of teachers employed by L.U.S.D. regarding race related issues. We assume that this teacher with L.U.S.D., if s/he is one, meant every word s/he wrote, as s/he never attempted to correct, explain or rehabilitate his/her statement in the rest of the blog. Awobs appears to be an unapologetic racist.
It is frightening to think this nut-job might be a teacher who has direct contact with African-American and Hispanic students. However, as you read through the rest of his/her blogs it might become more obvious who this sicko could be…
Awobs wrote on January 21, 2008, 12:14pm:
…"the Constitution says you have the right to free speech, however there are restrictions on that free speech. Words used to incite a riot, such as the N word, would be one of those restrictions."
Again, awobs can't stay away from an opportunity to make racist remarks.
Responding to another article, Awobs wrote on February 21, 2008, 8:51pm:
"At the end of the day, you have your opinion and I have mine and we will never agree. I also sleep well at night knowing my kid will be going to Catalina because he/she worked their tail off for it. Pretty much the same reason I get a paycheck…because I work my tail off for it!"
Another clue: It appears that awobs has a child that s/he believes will be going on the Catalina trip. Since the Catalina trip is just for eighth graders in L.U.S.D., it appears awobs might have a child in the 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Hard as it is to believe this bigot might be a mother or father as well as racist/teacher or administrator.
Awobs wrote on February 12, 2008, 5:13pm:
"Another point…most of those who do not receive an invitation (to Catalina) don't really care about going anyway. All students at this school know the requirements from the first week of 7th grade. Some make it a goal; some could care less. Just like in real life. Some care about following the speed limit, some could care less. Should everyone get a ticket just to be fair."
Here we have another clue: awobs appears to be an elitist as well as a racist. How in the world does this person presume to know what other children think? It is also sounding more and more like an insider (a teacher or administrator).
Awobs also wrote:
"News Flash! This is not a new policy in Lodi Unified! Any party to a physical fight is subject to suspension and in some cases, expulsion. Just because one party does not hit back or return a punch, does not mean that they did not instigate the fight or have some other involvement. I am glad that the principal had the guts to enforce the board policy in order to keep ALL students safe."
We believe this might be one of the most telling clues: The principal awobs was defending was the principal at Houston School. Does awobs have something to do with Houston school?
We believe this last clue will help someone identify awobs because s/he said in an article in the Lodi New-Sentinel about Hiring a youth pastor in Lodi ... an article that appeared on Thursday March 20, 2008…
Awobs wrote:

This awobs quote is critical to us because it shows that awobs knows that mindless cyber-liable of a minor child is wrong and causes damage that cannot be repaired. Again, we seek the identity of awobs because s/he has knowingly defamed a child (maybe one of her own students) over the Internet. Yes, everyone is free to hide behind their computer and a fictional name and defame and liable other adults. Unfortunately, the right of free speech also includes putting up with hate-mongers.
What is at issue is that an adult, we think a teacher, or possibly an administrator employed by L.U.S.D., has deliberately defamed a child over the Internet. We can prove that awobs and someone else who blogs under the name of "truthful" have teamed up to attack a helpless child; attacking children over the Internet (especially if you are a teacher) is unlawful. When we find the identity of "awobs" and "truthful" we intend to have their licenses to teach pulled and have them prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Please help us identify awobs. It's not just about the reward; it's about protecting our children from cyber-stalking and student defamation of records.
In should be noted, the Lodi News-Sentinel removed the "awobs" and "truthful" remarks about minor students within a day of posting ... at our demand. Unfortunately, the damage was done. We will not stop until we find "awobs" and "truthful" … please help. You may call us at: 916-524-9810 in inviolable secrecy.
